OPENING HOURS – Tuesday–Sunday:

 May  10-16

 June - July - August  10-17

 September - Oktober  10-16

The museum is also open on Mondays during the school holidays.

ENTRANCE:

Adults: 40,-kr.

Children (0 - 18 Years): free

Parties of 10 people or more: 30,-kr.

All conducted tours are 500,-kr.

It is possible to visit the museum outside normal opening hours – price 700,- kr. + entrance fees

AUDIOGUIDES

Audioguides in English are available at the ticket office. The fee is 20,- kr. + 100,- kr. deposit (serves 2 persons). The audioguide is interactive and allows you to gather 45 minutes information about the abbey, its buildings and its daily life.

Travel directions

The Monastic Museum of Denmark is less than 10 km. from Motorway E45 and only about 35 km. from Århus, the Capital of Jutland.

Take exit nr. 52 in the direction of Ry using road nr. 445. After about 1.5km. turn left towards Alken and Boes. The road passes through Alken and Boes reaching Emborg. The museum is situated to the left of the road.

The museum is situated about 5 km. south of Ry. From Ry drive along Klostervej in the direction of Emborg. On reaching Emborgvej turn right and continue for app.1 km. The museum is on the left.
